Picked her up last week...

up a 3 year old Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2.0 Jdtm 170 last week and I'm really pleased with it. Just fancied something a little different from the norm this time around.

There are a few typical Italian after thoughts with a few of the things, but nothing too bad.

You have to be signed in to the Alfa owner forum to view it. Upload the photo to this site.

Nice car, my missus bought one earlier on in the year, she loves it!
How do you find driving it in Dynamic?

Has that worked??

Since the purchase, I've had the question "why" thrown at me on many occasions; by family and friends, who all drive the usual suspects: Audi's/BMW's/Mercedes.

Honestly? I've really enjoyed the car. After a succession of cars with spine shattering suspension set ups, the Alfa, with the sports suspension setup in 'Veloce' guise, has been a breath of fresh air to my daily journeys. The ride is judged very well, without the compromise of cornering. Its not quite 1 series or Mini esq...but it'll more than match for the likes of yer Golfs/Focus'/A3's.

It's saving me around £200 a month on fuel and it has a midrange punch that would leave quicker cars (on paper) for dead. It makes for a very relaxing motorway cruiser and has plenty of space for me to chauffeur the family around. I have bluetooth/telephone, USB music integration, cruise control, air con, leather seats, stop/start technology, etc etc at my disposal for peanuts, compared that with to the competition.

Not to mention the fact that I think it's a beautiful looking car and, IMO, the best looking hatchback on the market.

It's a great little tool to have. The over boost on the turbo completely transforms the car from a torquey, mild mannered cruiser to a Mid-range weapon of mild mass distruction.

In fact, I've been doing a bit of digging about having her remapped. I'm trying to find out if it would effect power in both 'N' and 'D' mode - or just one or the other.

I agree with everything you've said. When the missus and I saw the advert after release we both said it looked brilliant! Never really thought about getting it mapped so would be interesting to know how you get on
