Overall the install was smooth and we were able to install the intake and the JB4 with the USB routed to the globe box in about 3 hours. The results were instantly gratifying, especially after the first time revving it up and hearing the turbos really come alive for the first time. Seems the car should have been tuned this way from the factory, especially with the M Sport package, but thats another story.

I have not been able to really push it to its limits but ran map 1 for a couple of days and am now running map 5, which I dont know if it has adjusted to my car yet. The car feels more powerful (although not 60 hp more) but I will it it a few days while the temperatures gets under 100. Its been hot here!!! Overall I am still please with my purchase. The steering controls are awesome. The needle sweep on startup is cool. iDrive warning disabling is welcome. Again the sound of the turbos make me smile every time. Just makes me like my car even more. Props to Burger Tuning for a very well engineered product.

Anybody wants to check it out LMK, will anyone be going to the the picnic this Saturday?
I'll be back in WDM tonight. I'm down to check it out -- who knows I might end up with one myself!

What's your schedule look like?

Who's doing the picnic today? I'll be there with some wing dip.

Did I mention I got a JB4 and dual cone intake? So yeah, the cars breaks 'em loose in second gear! I'm not talking about a second gear scratch........I'm saying when I mash the gas at about 3000rpm the back end starts to swing sideways past 5000rpm!!! This is with 275 RE11s, the stickiest tires this side of R-comps. Should have done this sooner because it made me fall in love with the car all over again

If anyone knows someone looking for some nice wheels and tires, spread the word around for us please...

Location - Des Moines, Iowa - pick-up welcome!
Contact - PM is best
Description -

- A set of 4 Kosei K4R wheels fitment - 17x8 +50 square setup.
- These are great for auto-x, road racing etc. We had this on our STR S2000 with Star Specs for 3 events and it did very well. Has about 600 miles on them.
- I will also include a set of muteki black open end lugnuts with key and all 4 hubring spacers.
- Center caps also included.
- These were on the car for 3 auto-x's and are in MINT condition.
- No curbage, scratches, dents etc. Some tiny marks in lugnut hole area but this is unavoidable and cannot be seen. These are like NEW, I promise!
- They are ridiculously light at 14.9 lbs and on my scale weighed 15 lbs, but have valve stems installed.
- We ran 235/345 combo on our STR S2000 and no rubbing whatsoever lowered on swift spec-R's. I swapped the 245 in front and no issues either. So, you can run a square 245 and give up some tire, but save 4 lbs on each corner compared to the T1R C3. You could almost put 255 DDSS's on this and the stiff sidewalls may make it a good combo.

They sell for $800 + shipping new at Tire Rack. They are currently unavailable and ETA is 08/27/12, but the ETA has changed twice...I would like 600 + shipping - you are get lugnuts and valve stems etc too, remember!

Pictures -

2) Also, selling the star specs 235/40/17 and 245/40/17. Also have 600 miles on them and 3 auto-x's since they were put on new on the wheels above. Tons of tread life. I paid 730 + shipping for these, I will take 500 + shipping in the USA. Hope the pictures above suffice for the tires.

Beemer - Can I drive your car sometime? I wont beat on it, I just want to know how it feels weight wise and handling etc. I may have to settle for a coupe instead of vert. More of these available online...

Nice work. Did you do it freehand? too bad my walls have shit hanging all over them. No space to make it look pretty I would put a giant Honda logo tho...LOL

I went to BMW today and looked around at cars. They had a silver 335i vert with red leather and was an auto...Boo. Had 1 used 135i hardtop and it was also an auto. Did have an used manual V10 M5 tho...for 52K. Lexus had a dark blue 335i vert, but it too was an auto...Boo.

Oh well...

I will hit you up sometime, Beemer!

Yes, we can measure it and see. Its CF vinyl, the expensive shizzz so cannot fuck it up when installed on the car, but people say its very resilient!

Plasti Dip is a coating that you can get in a can (~14oz or gallon) or in a spray can. It is kind of like liquid rubber that sets up to be semi hard. It was orignally sold to be used to cover grips of tools etc. People have been using it on wheels and even whole cars, kind of a cheap non permananet way to change color.
