i live along a single track road and always stop to let bicycles pass (mainly so the bastards dont scratch my car) and about 1 in 10 say thank you. its normally a look as if i am something stuck to their shoe. now i wind the window down and if they dont say thank you i give them loads of abuse.

Horse riders down here are the same, I shout "You're Welcome!!!" from the open window if they don't wave or nod back.

Trouble is some of the riders are quite hot..........

We Scots are lot more polite..we don't give hand gestures, we just air our opinions. Up here the window would've come down and she would've belted out obscenities to rude to post here
