Yep, same as me. I started getting choppy acceleration and it never completely went off even with the pbx out of the car.
Battery before winter for me too, had a couple long cranks last winter when at -30 celcius / -22 fahrenheit. I dont want to push my luck this winter.

Just changed out my plugs with NGK's...125,400kms. They looked similar to the ones in the pictures. I've been running the PBX and AFE for 2 years with no issues. Started up as usual. The needle used to fluctuate up and down a bit...now its steady as a rock. Car pulls much harder and smoother.

I need to get my valve cover gasket replaced so I asked my local indy shop what they would charge to put in new plugs. They told me the plugs are $25 each with additional $50 labor on top of the $550 for the vcg. With the help of this thread, I found the same OEM plugs for less than $10 each. WTH.

Thank-you This thread got a little confusing. That fits a 325i also right?

Technically no, BMW never specified this plug for the 325.
The 328 has updated coils, which are specified for use as replacements for the 325 -- implying compatibility. A few people have run this plug on 330s and 25s without problem. The latest for a 325 or 330 is NGK PLZFR6A11S or BOSCH FR7NPP332. |

Seems like a good price although I cannot confirm if that part matches what I see on realoem.com. Looks like there is two versions of the coils. Speaking of coils is there any advantage to swapping new coils when I do my plug swap? I'd rather not spend an extra 200 dollars if I don't need to(everything runs fine & haven't thrown a code yet), buuuut if someone can comment on extra power/smoothness etc I may just go ahead and do it. |

they have diff. one every month...do a google search and see if you can find a recent one
Amazon also have them, shop around ILZFR6D11 = NGK 1208 (made in Japan - Gap .044) My stock plugs (2006 325xi) had exactly the same part # PLZFR6A11S = NGK 5987 for the newer plugs...just do a search
