Post it up when you run it! I was hoping on getting runs with this new E30 map, but its just way too hot and humid right now in Florida. I have to wait a few months for it to cool down just a bit, then its on!

Since you got 117 mph out of your car with S2FA, I expect 120 out of you with these new maps

I downloaded them and saw the changes; if you have sufficient octane and the car's not complaining, the car will feel amazing.

Cobb, why do vehicles need to be FBO in order to run this map?

I ask because am running about the same high-end timing and load targets on my otherwise stock setup (50% ethanol, or a little over 9 gallons of E85). Not exactly apples to apples, but I'd like to try this kind of midrange timing in my map, which is currently at the off the shelf level.

I noticed that the midrange timing is the same for aggressive 402 and stg2 402 on 93 octane, so I figure that the midrange timing can be copied over here, too. Maybe reduce it a half degree or so. Am I dumb for thinking this?

I have been running E85 for years in various platforms (It's been popular since 2006 with other groups) and have not seen anything lower then 82%.

You can test it with a simple graduated test tube that costs 5 bucks. I'm not saying there isn't a "bad batch" out there somewhere it's just that it's not nearly as bad as some may lead you to believe.

The standards for E85 do allow some variance that changes from state to state. Here in Washington state it has to be between 85-75% or it's illegal to sell. However like I said I have yet to see it below 82%.

http://agr.wa.gov/bioenergy/docs/E85...Guidelines.pdf
I haven't tested mine unfortunately.

I found an e85 pump near by (NJ newark airport). Do I need to mix e85 and 93 or can I just fill up with e85 and be done with it? If I have to mix it seems we need 4-5 gallons of e85 mixed in a full tank that has 93 gas to achieve e30? Correct?

I would not run 100% since the fueling system would work too hard especially the lpfp.
30-50% mix is plenty octane for very aggressive timings and boost. Just look at the timing table for 30%.

So is there a power difference between the race map and the E30 map?

So you're saying its still possible? Shiv is running cars with 100% e85 without any problems.

The only difference between maps is the fuel scalar.

Downloading maps and going to fill up E85 here in a minute. It's going to take a few cycles for the car to learn the new tune.
I will log data and post, let you all know how it is.

Not really. LPFP works too hard and goes bad if you have a clogged fuel filter or by sucking sediment in older cars if you don't get a new strainer when you replace the fuel pump. Or do you have some facts to claim the LPFP capacity being limited? As far as I remember, there is only one guy who has actually tried 100% e85 and posted about it working just fine with a lot of power. Don't remember who he is, but you will find him by searching.

You may want to search for me and Terry too then, LPFP is hard limited at age and condition.

Time to replace LPFP then if that if age and condition is the only difference.

You'll make more power when it's colder out. 117 mph isn't anything to sneeze at.

My LPFP took a nosedive at 33% ethanol and the car has 39k miles. I guess this is considered an old pump too? I am on RB turbos though, so it may be possible that I did hit a physical limitation. Meth took care of that real quick at the expense of a little horsepower.

Does this mean we need to change LPFPs like we change our oil? LMAO.

I hope I can trap 120mph on this new map. I just need to wait for FL to cool down to mid 70's at least.

The first day I flashed the new map it felt alright until high rpms where it came alive, but after a few days the car feels amazing throughout the whole rpm range even in this blazing heat.

I would, but the same LPFP easily supports an E50 map, and E50 is more effective octane than necessary on stock turbos. In the context of a cobb E30 map release it's not time to replace my LPFP, it's time to have fun!
