The Plan!

OK guys, this is the plan so far...

Meet at The Bankfield Hotel Bingley between 10.30am and 11am

http://www.ramadajarvis.co.uk/hotels...rd/travel.aspx

Set off on drive 11.30am to allow plenty of travelling time for those from Scotland and London.

Initial drive is about 30 miles... stop for photos if the weather is kind at Thruscross Reservoir

Pub lunch at the Black Bull Inn on Skipton Road... According to Matt we turn up and get fed!

Drive an interesting route via Pateley Bridge over the hills passing Stump Cross Caverns.

http://www.stumpcrosscaverns.co.uk/index.htm

Only 6 for a fantastic experience lasting about an hour and a coffee after. In fact this is now officially part of the meet unless I hear otherwise!

Then more driving over sweeping roads into the Dales and finally back to Bradford. Total route is about 75-80 miles!

Evening curry banquet at Omat Khan's at 8.30pm

LOL! Came in after a late gig and might have had a few drinks! Perhaps a visit to the caves is not the best idea

Alan, as far as I know Holiday Inn Express is the hotel of choice.

The black bull say no need to ring ahead if were <14-16 so we're ok.

When I asked him if I needed to book or ring ahead he looked at me as though I'd asked to borrow his wife.

Irrespective, the food is nice and I'm gonna ring them on the morning to ensure it's all lined up just in case!

Sorry mate. That's why this is called the NORTHERN Meet! There'll be others closer to home that you can get along to.

Obviously we can alter the route on the day according to time, but this is the ideal

Bingley - Eldwick - Ilkley (via Ilkley Moor) - Askwith - Blubberhouses - Thruscross Reservoir (photos) - BLACK BULL INN Skipton Road for lunch

Pateley Bridge - Hebden - Burnsall - Bolton Abbey - Blubberhouses Moor - Farnley - Otley - Bradford

Be good to have a fellow musician along for the ride! Exact time we'll get back is hard to calculate, but I would think about 5.30-6pm. You can always peel off and take a more direct route home if time is running short.

will do..............

i need to be home for 7............ to pack up and get ready

I'm depping on vocals with another band(my band i'm guitar and vocals).............. so mic and mic stand (and maybe a monitor) is the extent of the packing!

And the gig is 1 mile from my place which is nice!!!!

Make sure you come and say hello!!

Nice one Max. It's a smallish, friendly meet and easy to chat to people. Some of us have met up before, but everyone makes an effort to include people new to the fold!

EVENING CURRY BOOKED!

11 mixed banquets and one request for English food to be ordered on the night Alan!

I'm deffo for the drive now. Curry might just depend on how England get on tomorrow night - cant imagine the Curry House showing the match if we make it through as group winners!

PS, If anyones thinking about coming, go for it. It was my first meet last year - check out the Northern Meet 2 thread somewhere.
