What year is your car? TPMS batteries are rated for 5 years, give or take...might be time to swap them out.

2007 e90 335xi. Does this mean I have to get whole new tpms sensors or just they have replaceable batteries?

You need whole new sensors. The batteries are not replaceable. I think they are around $60-70 each. Assuming that is the problem.

before you replace, open doth wheel liners and check that the little box/sensor that is atttached to the back side of the liner is plugged in. Mine came unplugged and i couldnt figure out why the tpms was going off when i had brand new sensors. If those boxes/sensors are plugged in then time for new TPS

This is a design flaw, if you car were produced < Nov 2008, the entire car has to be replaced. they will remove the tires/rims from the old car, and mount them on the replacement vehicle.
