Hopefully it will be warm enough this week to hand wash it during an extended lunch hour.
Oh, we are looking for temps in the upper 40s to low 50s by mid week through the weekend. I almost went and washed it off today, but decided that the system coming through mid-week will make all the wet, salty crud come up on me....

My neighbor, a plumber, had a drain put in his garage floor during construction--what a great idea. Next house! He runs a hose out of his laundry room and has hot water to wash his car. Wish I were friendlier

I decided that a touchless wash at an Exxon, when I was there to get gas, would have to do considering upcoming weather.

Can't wait to wash it myself!!!

Its supposed to get into the 50's this week. Im going to wait until the temperatures rise, and the snow melts. They are also calling for some rain mid week. The way I figure, Ill wait until after the higher temps and rain so the roads will be much clearer.

Then, If I wash my car (for the first time), it will stay clean longer... I was just hoping it would be warm enough where I can hose down my car to get a lot of the sand and salt off...

You get the car hand dried, windows wiped, tires dressed up etc. They even do polishing, although it's just a wipe on and wipe off thing.

They made the whole place look like a "train station" hence the name. I've seen all kinds of high end cars there; MB, Lexus, Porsche, Caddy, Audi etc. Even saw a Maserati once.

It's the mother of all semi-automated car washes if you ask me.

That is heaven! I pray someday I live in a place that has a car wash like that. If I was driving by Station Auto Wash by some chance, even if it was an hour out of the way, I'd go, just to get my car all dirty again on the ride home.

Read the website, picus. It talks about specifically how they have special brushes that they use which doesn't cause scratches. Maybe they are microfiber brushes.

I just tried this place last week. You need to make an appointment. A regular wash was $30. They did a GREAT job on the interior and the exterior was washed and quickly detailed so it looked like it had just been waxed. They even cleaned inside the wheel fairly well. I don't mean just inside the spokes but as far behind the spokes as possible. Doing this will likely save me a couple of days before the brake dust comes back. They are not perfect or as good as Shim from what I understand, but they are easy and do a pretty good job. Easily three times better than an automatic $10 wash. They are about two blocks from the Exxon on Rte 7 and Springhill. Fortunately, they are across the street from my office so I just walk back after dropping the car off. They keep to their appointments as well. They just did a great job buffing some scratches out of my colleagues 750.

Cool. I saw their website even before I bought my E90 and bookmarked it as a possible place to go for detailing. Yes, I clearly am OCD if I was looking at them even before my car came in.

Glad to hear they did a good job.

BTW - I just restocked on my Zaino wash soap. I'm just through my second bottle, so I had to restock. For those who use Zaino, if you haven't been at the Zaino store lately, they have a bundle at a good deal IMO - a four pack of Zaino wash plus two Z-6 bottles.

Sorry, I didn't want to come off as an ass, but I have wanted to do the thing for a while! It doesn't mean you are stupid though, so don't be bringing yourself down.
