I have a e92 330i manual. Can't fault the straight 6 naturally aspirated engine that characterises BMW through and through! It's worth guzzling V-power to hear that engine sing!

Generally people source their Performance parts direct from their nearest dealer.

The P/E for your car might be available as a cat-back, but more likely axle-back. Check RealOEM, or ask your dealer.

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/select.do

On some models the P/E comprises both the rear box and a mid pipe. But mine was rear box only, because it's the DI petrol engine and the centre of the exhaust holds an additional emissions sensor and associated wiring. Don't worry, the sound is still superb!

2006 BMW 330i  [0.00]
I used to have a 2002 many moons ago. This is the first car i bought and wanted another BMW. ( have been leasing). After reading about different models and going used, the 06 330i has everything, especially the sports package and stereo system.
Lots of other good things for a stock vehicle. manual of course.

Im about to put it away for the winter. i weighed the option of snows and rims verses
stoarage fees for a few months. he car has never seen snow from the other two owners.
The car was hard to find, you dont see many at all espcecailly manual and in good stock condition. If soemone made me an offer, i would sell it. I dont know why i feel that way about soemthing i care about so much..... i think really trying to keep it from getting beat up from other peole and the road elements is tiring soemtimes. I need a garage and a second car to beat on. Am i alone?

mine is an N53 so dont know if injectors are the same. has done 20,000 mainly on tesco 99. noticeable difference to running it on unleaded.

Another 330i owner here. Just purchased a 2007 LMB 330i sport coupe with manual box! Love it!!

Is this true about tesco 99? I've had 2 330i's now, E46 and E92 and both have been run solely on tesco 99 as i live opposite a tesco.

I'd heard that supermarket fuel is exactly the same as big name brands as they all come from the same place??

I have an E90 330i, N53. A fantastic engine, though prone to costly injector and coil failures. Took me ages to source a 330i saloon, not as many around as I'd thought.

Sadly, somebody crashed a van into the back of mine last Thursday morning, and now I'm waiting to hear if I'm going to be looking at a write off, or am I going to be driving a rear-ender around for the next few years. A lose lose proposition :-(

Is the N52 330i also prone to injector and/or coil failures?

I suspect mine has an issue (well, I know it definitely has something going on) and symptoms are pointing towards overfueling, i.e. possible injector.

I have an e90 n52 330i m sport and it is by far the best car I've owned. It is also the longest I've owned at nearly 2 years.

It will be going soon though to make way for my new M135i!

e93 330i here ... N53 with PE .. same issues as previous posted - coil and injector issues, and has developed a nasty ticking (tractor type) sound (which BM say is due to me not driving the car enough).

PE is really nice with the 330i ... BUT ... a little too quiet unless your booting it... fantastic if you are (saying that, only had it on for couple of hundred miles.

Whats this tesco 99 - haven't seen that in Northern Ireland...

AFAIK not as much as the N53, though I had to have my coil-packs (330i 2005) replaced recently to cure a mis-fire. Soon after had to replace the pre-Cat 02 sensor too when mis-fire returned, so possible that it was that all along.

Next job to sort - leaking oil filter gasket housing! Any other N52 owners have this? (slow oil leak making a mess of the front / off-side of the engine block) Seems to be quite a common issue - not serious but fiddly to fix and looks messy under the bonnet...

Took me a while to find though!
