Well if your car doesnt have sport package you probably don't even have a front sway bar so yea it would be a noticeable improvement. I have like 3 people who say they want this but no one has paid yet. If you want to pick it up thats fine. I work in Englewood Cliffs, I can meet you any time during the day 8-5/6ish or if you want you can pick it up from me in White Plains NY after 6pm

Sport package sway bars are supposedly stiffer and decrease body roll as compared with non-sport package sways. (to answer Novemberr's question, yes, there will be an improvement. I am in your exact position and have a new sport-pkg front sway to install when I replace my shocks. For our cars (330i), the rear sways are identical between sport and non-sport but fronts are different.) On awd cars, sways are different from both sport and non-sport sways of rwd cars. All front sways are listed at 26.5mm thickness, but vary in composition and taper and as a result have varying degrees of flex. Last edited by yakev724; 06-06-2011 at 09:15 PM.. |

Feel grateful to hear an advice from the same-model owner - I'm confused a little. So, is the stiffness different for all same-size front 26.5mm sways on different E9X (spt or non-spt pkg)? |

The M3 front sway is also 26.5mm, though it does not taper at the center as other E9X sways do. There's obviously much more to it than just diameter. If you are good with tools and have a garage to DIY, then I would recommend it. If you plan on having it installed at a shop, doing it at the same time as replacing shocks would make the most sense as it shouldn't be too much of an additional cost. Install of the sway alone could be $200-300. I'm waiting to replace my shocks and springs with sport-pkg ones later this summer; I'll install the sway at the same time. |

front sway bar install shouldnt run more than $150, its a fairly simple swap, the rear one is more difficult in the e92 cars
