Brake pad warning please help!!!
So last night as I drove through a bad rain storm and a few deep puddles the red car on Jack warning CC ID 71 popped up. I have had a rotora bbk on for about 2 months with no issues so I'm not sure why this happened. Is it a result of the puddles I drove through they were deep. At the same time my service 25k is due. Anybody know what it could be?? Checked fluid level and it's at max....read about a member who had a rotora kit whose line ruptured but he was losing fluid I am not.
Please help afraid to drive. My cars a 2008 335xi coupe. 25k miles maybe 1000 miles on the bbk. Brake pad sensors were twisted around during install. |

UPDATE: After inspecting the brake wear sensors, I noticed my rear sensor wires were shredded, the head was completely missing from the sensor. Looks like it came loose somehow and was wedged/shredded apart.
Hopefully a new sensor isnt $$$ |

New sensor was $20 at my local independent service shop...
I had to get mine replaced in order to reset the countdown.

I would be surprised if the puddle did that. Maybe something went into the wheel well and messed up the wiring.

Replaced the sensor $24 and its gone!! It was hardly a puddle, it was more like a mini lake and it was b/c I had simply tucked the wires and not bound the sensor in the rear!!

Well, that makes more sense. I am glad you got it fixed.
