ER oil cooler install
*updates*
See Post 53 for Buttonwillow Datalog See Post 72 for Laguna Seca Datalog Sorry, about the tease guys. I spent quite a great deal of time this weekend getting these suckers installed . I will be testing these out on the track come april. This setup is twin coolers in each wheel well lined up in series. So far so good! Here is a shot of all the parts as they came out of the box: AN fitting adapter: Cooling lines: Twin coolers & how they stack vs the oem: Im not sure how they fair in terms of depth, but the coolers are about 2x the size of the OEM cooler. This is about 4x the surface area when both coolers are taken into account . Shot with out the bumper: I deleted the foglights and am still waiting for some shroud ducting. You can see the coolers where the foglights used to be. I think ill clean it up a bit once they come in! Some cutting of the fender lining: One last shot of the driver side ! So far I've only driven a little bit on the road and have not yet by any means pushed the car. The highest temps ive seen the oil at with these on is 235? The temps seem to stay from 225-235 which is expected because of the oem thermostat. The car took 8 quarts of oil! Anyways, more testing to come. Next track day is at buttonwillow 4/3. I hope it doesnt rain.. Last edited by zsapphire7; 08-12-2011 at 01:37 PM.. |
