I know this would be very difficult but has anyone quantified the braking difference in feet 60-0 with a BBK v. stock? This would help with some of my future purchasing decisions.

I can't help you with any data right now, but minimum braking distance is more a function of the grip on the front tires rather than brakes. The stock brakes can lock the tires up no problem. The BBK will excel on the track because it will resist fading much better.

Thanks Josh. Certainly we can compare with stock oem tires. I understand it is about fade resistance relative to track performance (heat soak etc.)

I'm more interested in stopping power once i get a Cobb etc. More hp needs more stopping power.

Exactly, fade is all about heat

Larger brakes, cross drilled, cooled, heat sych, etc - dissipate more heat so less heat is stressing the system and is also not passed on to the brake fluid, if you use fresh fluid it contains less moisture and will have a higher boil temperature. When brake systems overheat you will have brake fade.

I saw that the veyron's brakes are turbine cooled and never fade.
