I want to do a really sleeper setup. I know the DCI's are better but I already spent the money on the filter and wanted to do something a little different.

At least with this setup there are no worries about ridiculous IAT temps robbing power for the most part.

It would probably be on Map 1 or 5 as I won't be running E85. I'm thinking 320-330whp?w

Get the AFE closed intake... Your gonna be leaving overall power, esp top end power on the table and making your turbos run harder for air with a stock box and more boost anything past 13psi ( per Terry)

At those power levels you don't need a DCI. I am running 375whp/414wtq with a stock intake & filter JB4-G5ISO @ 17psi & 5" ETS FMIC. The DCI makes a difference at higher power & RPM then a lite moded car is generating. The car is listed on page 7 BMW 335i section of Drag Times with older version of the JB4.

Car is shifted at 6200 so I am not really getting into high RPM requirements. If I was interesed in more power & would be looking first at a BMS flash.

I have been working on the G5 ISO Beta with my logs being checked & so far no issues.

Car is 100% sleeper except for small BMS decals in rear quarter windows.

That's exactly what I'm looking for.

I agree with this 100%, running hot air intakes with IAT of 160F then heating the air even further seems ridiculous. I’m surprised how many people are running open air elements and not ram air setups.

I’ll be running this one of these days

Per Terry for the same question:
"Over 13psi and 5000rpm or so you start leaving a lot on the table with it."

Yeah this definitely not a max power setup. Just something to make the daily drive and random trip more fun.

No I mix in 4 or 5 gallons of 100 octane into the standard 93. Comes out to 94/95 octane depending on how much is in the tank when I fill up
The 100 is a saftey factor as 335is Map 6 is designed for good quality 93 octane. Car base line dynoed pure stock at 319,320,320whp on 93 octane. The ISO is building boost very fast & I don't want to have a problem with overshoot, my fail safe is 19PSI.

My dynos show whp peaking at 5500 & holding flat to 6300 before falling off so I think its not worth the bother or noise to go DCI in my case. If I was looking for max power to race would have bought a different car. I just like having a slight edge over similar cars on the street.

I realize this is an older thread but was doing research on sealed intakes and it came up.

For those figures, other than the JB4/G5 + ETS-5" + 100/93 mix are you running any other supporting mods? DPs and/or DVs? TIA.
