I'd prefer going to ASE versus Icar because the concrete takes its toll on tires.

What is the schedule for ASE for the ones that might know?

Antony had forgotten that I had a freaking all day meeting tomorrow!!! There goes that day off!!!

I would like to know also.

I'd like to get one or two lap days before the July 25th one day Mont-Tremblant event.

Yup. Monday nights at ASE. $100 fee to join as I recall, plus the $20 ro $30 per session like ICAR.

Added another 3 events at Watkins Glens (Aug, Sept, Oct), for those who are missing that track this year for any reason.

Hi Guys,

I'm going to be talking to Jane at CMP this weekend about some more days since i've gotten a few emails from folks. If there is anyone who hasn't emailed me and is interested in getting a day or two for CMP, let me know.

We might not get quite as good a deal this time out, but I don't expect it to be more than $15-20 more than last time.

Had some fun today with the Sundaycup.ca group at Sanair. A really nice bunch of folks. The track is finally growing on me and doing it in the rain at speed is something else. Spins, wipeouts, spills. And crossing onto the drag strip section is something else. More light drifting practice under my belt.

We also had a gentleman race in moderate rain. 20 minutes. I started at the back of the pack, dead last in the 13th position. It was fun. Worked my way from last place to second spot. The spray from the other cars was brutal. You couldnt see poop. I cant recall the last time I had that much fun and fear at the same time. Passing under breaking, passing on the outside ...

I'm looking forward to my next event in the rain.

Agro, like off into the dirt? God forbid, no. My 2 last year were enough. I did see a lot of folks spin today and one fellow took a nasty spin into the infield schmutz. I hope his windows were closed, because there was a lot of dirt flying. I do go wiggly here and there in the rain, but it is starting to become a lot more controlled.

For those of you that want to tune in to Lemans. Audi is leading overall at this point. 11 hours and change to go.

I've become a big fan of the GT class cars that run Lemans/ALMS. I wish my pockets were deep enough to convert a Z4. In the mean time, I can live vicariously through the drivers with live internet TV.

The in car video were so unbelievable. Night driving in the rain and dark, quite nuts, and so were the speeds.

It was pretty interesting. There was a night time switch of drivers on the Audi 3 team and the driver completely missed a turn and kept going straight while the car behind him made the turn ... noticing that the car was no longer behind him he quickly veered back on the track. Lucky that happened where it did. There was lots of flat track to do that.

This race itch is pretty infectious. There are a couple of endurance chumpcar races that I would love to do. I'm getting that itch and debating building another car.

Could have turned tragic, great recovery!

If you sell the green monster, I think you can build 1 or 2 chump cars and have some spare budget for racing. Should we say roughly 15k max for the chump car? Thing is, if you sell, you will take a hit in your original investment.

I think Chump car is good fun, with good street tires etc, stock suspension, you can race at safe speeds and improve your driving skills quite a bit no?
