BMW DAB Offer

received this email today from BMW:

seems like a wired antenna with Dab receiver and wireless controller, for cars from 2008 onwards...

I already have Dab but might help someone who wants it installed from the dealer..

£300 and they cant even give you the integrated one just a cheap aftermarket one

IMO a joke least you would expect is full integration no dodgy remote stuck to the dash

Correct Magic.

This offer has been around 2-3 times already. It's basically a Pure (or similar) DAB kit thrown in by BMW mechanics.

Even the ones that integrate with the iDrive have the stick on antenna that lives on the windscreen, I'd rather use fm

Could it be because the govt. have abandoned the forced implementation of digital radio for the forseable future and BMW realise they have a lot of these sets to offload?

Don't compare the BMW rubbish offer with the Pure...the Pure 300Di does full iPod integration (including changing/displaying tracks with apps like Spotify) and comes with a multifunctional display, and Â£100 cheaper fitted :P

True...but do you really want something dangling from your air vent? At least the BMW kit is fully integrated into the existing unit.

It will be added to my car when the antenna is integrated into the shark fin....
