e90 driver power seat not working

My driver seat has been working when I don’t sit in it. I took the seat out to clean it and now I can’t move it at all whether I’m sitting in it or not so I can’t put the front bolts in to secure the seat down. Does anyone know the problem?? Tilting the seat back doesn’t work either. In the meantime, can someone walk me through how to move the seats manually to where I can put the seat back at least?

I highly recommend solving the issue before putting the seat back in. It can become a nightmare later if it is stuck in place and you need to remove it.

There is a module on the bottom of the seat that controls it.
Check the wiring on that and check any fuses for the seats.
