Guys, this time I am coding FRM2.
Now questions is, different people say different things to add.
Reading on p2 charles.soori tried above mentioned into VO and it did not work.

Can somebody confirm what is correct SA for LCI retro-fitting in E9X with FRM2?

On other website they suggested:

For FRM2
Add +MUEG

For FRM3
+MUEH to VO

Can somebody confirm please?
Thanks,

Garage List
The "official" LCI tail light retrofit is not available for cars with the FRMA / FRM1, such as your 2005 E90. You can code them by disabling the appropriate bulb checks though.

Mate, they cannot retrofit it.
You will have to change the lines manually.

A bunch of e90post members in Hong Kong are looking to do the LCI tail light retrofit, the only problem is that none of us have any experience with coding whatsoever! I've tried calling around a bunch of garages here, and apart from one offer from an overenthusiastic proprietor to use my car as a guinea-pig, I haven't been able to find a single place that has any experience coding BMW's. I would take my car to BMW Hong Kong, except they'll only do the coding if you have FRM 3, and I believe my car has FRM 2, and I don't really feel like wasting US$300 on a footwell module let alone BMW's exorbitant labor costs.

I've read through this thread about 10 times, but I'm not the most technical individual and almost everything you guys are discussing is complete Greek to me. All I've managed to pick up is that i need to buy a special cable to get started. I was wondering if any of you could give me a walkthorough of how to code the LCI's. That way, I'll be able to help the other HK member's as well. I think there are at least 10 of us with E92's that want to the conversion. Thank's in advance.

Oh, and Desi for Life, I'm Desi too, so please help a brother out

It would be much easier if you find garage with autologic and ask them to do it. That covers frm2 and 3.

You're absolutely right, but there are no garages in Hong Kong with Autologic, so it's not an option.

If a bunch of you guys are looking into retrofitting LCI then one of you need to get yourself a laptop and at least obtain the a laptop using 32bit software and find someone to remotely code you guys via Team Viewer.

^Thanks. I'm assuming 32bit is the software used for coding?

Sorry to ask what might seem like very obvious questions to you guys, but where can I get 32bit and teamviewer? The software along with the cable is all we need, correct?

Also, anyone here willing to lend a hand? If a vendor would like to charge us a a fee for the retrofit coding, I'm sure most of us would be happy to pay.

Appreciate the help guys.

32 bit is the Operating System Environment. Windows is made in 32 bit and 64 bit. 64 can emulate 32, however skip all the issues and just get 32-bit windows.

Then all you need is the cable for remote coding.
(Oh and a great internet connection that can reach the car/cars)

Thanks Grant. I had a feeling it was getting that one wrong. Haha, I feel very silly. Would you be willing to help us code remotely once I get teamviewer and the cable?

Also one more stupid question, I haven't used Windows in years. If I download parallels for mac, how do I know if I'm using the 32 bit version of Windows?

I am sure that Desi / Cn555 will help you.

I am not familiar with windows parallels, otherwise I would have helped you.
