radio relocation help
has anybody relocated there headunit if so is it just a case of extending the wires, and where did you put your radio
Need help please

If you are going after market and want to perserve your pdc, gongs and have warranty concerns then folks tend to relocate the oem radio to the trunk.
Trace the harness wiring to the back and connect there. You will need the wires up front for your new radio. |

yeah still want parking sensors and gongs ,so I have just bought this

Yeh thats an option too. Or after market amp depending on what system you have. PM Technic on the audio board if you want a harness that connects to say the jbl ms8 or a jl 6/600 amp.

keeping my standard radio equipment as I don't want to spend a fortune as what I am doing may not work!

With this harness you don't need to relocate your headunit.
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/inst...sensor-adaptor If you have hifi or logic 7 you want to use the RCA outputs from the headunit and if you have logic 7 you need an aftermarket amp. With that harness the chimes will come from a speaker in the dash, but if you wanted you could use the stock headunit to play the chimes through the rear speakers. If you did that the rear speakers would only be for chimes. |
