Hi, I have a 335d from -08 and since it first happened about 2 days ago a weird sound can be heard once in a while under load in high gear and low rpms. It sounds almost like an induction noise or resonance from exhaust but quite loud.

I would best explain the noise as the car bogging down but it doesn't feel especially weak.

It occurs often in up hill or when there is a lot of load on the car but with very little throttle, it doesn't feel weak but every time it has happened I have let of the throttle and then got back on it with no noise on the second try.

Car runs absolutely normal otherwise and no warnings or codes.

my car and another car in the forums have the exact same issue. i have researched for hours on it and couldn't find anything. someone please help

Yeah it is very hard to find any information on it, I would have hoped someone in the forum had experienced it before and fixed it.

(I dont even know if its harmful or just resonance from intake or exhaust)

1 or 2 piece exhaust? I'd bet its just vibration from the lower rpm load.

Its several pieces but it is a full kit thats bought for the car. Downpipe to a midpipe then 2 "silencers" at the end.

I have had the same thought as well about it being vibrations but why would it just start so randomly? Has it come loose maybe?
