number plates

hey guys just some tips and advice needed - any helpful comments are much appreciated

1) i currently hold a personalised white slim number plate since the 90's and i do not have to pay annual fee whereas nowdays the law has changed and you have to pay at least $90 a year. If i want to keep the number but change to other colours only, does it affect my on-going waived annual fee?

2) are tinted number plate protectors illegal? (im thinking of getting a silver background number plate but if i can use a silver tinted protector then i can save a bit of money).

3) what colour combo number plate looks the best on a silver bmw?
im thinking premium black background with silver writing or premium silver background with black writing - both $275 one off fee).

first 1. www.rta.nsw.au (or relevalent state)

second 1. yes, anything that obsecures the numberplate is illegal, in fact I think the letter of the law means any cover is illegal, but hey DP's are too

2. which silver?

Just buy some numeral plates. Single digit if budget allows.

I have a black X5 with Gold plated plates that says WONTON (only Avaiable for Consulate cars). I have an obsession with wonton soup.

i'm pretty sure you don't need to be a ferrari owner to be able to afford numeral plates as one off payment for personalised plus plates range from $171 (6 digits) to $8k (1 digit). Also owning an e92 doesn't mean you should laugh at people with 320's

Sure you do. At the beer garden near your work with equally incentivised clients.
