No Courtesy Vehicles?

So I take my e90 to BMW of Riverside for the first time to get the steering wheel trim replaced and they tell me they don't have any courtesy vehicles anymore.

Is this common or this just BMW of Riverside?

Depends on whether you let them know you were coming, and if you told them you needed a loaner (in general, I've never been to Riverside)

Yes I let them know I was coming (made an appt) and thats when they gave me the "we dont' have courtesy vehicles, but you can rent a bmw from us for $80"

Argh! Does your dealer have courtesy vehicles? If so which one? I'm going to switch!

San Diego is pretty nice...although you most likely would get a Camry, but at least you have one for the duration. I did get an X3, convert Z4, Camry twice, and anywhere from 2 hours to 3 days duration. Took the X3 to see the Lakers/Sacramento game last year...nice!

Yeah. . . unfortunately i don't know of any good dealerships in your area. . .
Savage sucks too. . .
Over here in OC we have Crevier and Sterling which i like.
LA has Pacific BMW, Long Beach BMW, and New Century BMW that i know of as good dealerships

Damn i bought my 330i E90 from Nick Alexander and i think the service there SUCKS!
The last time i needed a loaner car there were all out so i had to pay $30 for a Freaking VW Passat at the Enterprise counter inside the dealership.

I bought my 335i at nick Alxander BMW in Los Angeles. A little out of my way but when I went in for my first service they found a recall on my fuel pump. I was given a 528 with very low miles.

I was surpised at this too. I was scheduling to get an annoying rattle fixed on my car and Bob Smith BMW and Center BMW both said that they don't provide courtesy vehicles unless you bought the car from them. How retarded is that? I have an appointment scheduled for thursday but maybe i should call century west instead?

Infiniti always provided courtesy vehicles if you needed it regardless if you bought from their dealership or not. I guess bmw is different

Infiniti treats customers way better than BMW does.

Even Lexus offers courtesy vehicles every time my parents and my sister brought their cars in for service.

I go to Peake BMW here in New Orleans and they are the only dealer in the NO area. At first I thought a loaner is supplied every time I bring my car in, and later found that you actually have to ask for it. Wellz, so far I have asked for once and guess what I got, a Chevy HHR from Enterprise. I am bringing the car in again tomorrow afternoon and I will report back what they are giving me this time.

Crevier BMW in Santa Ana is great all around

I've gotten '09 328s when I dropped off my '08 335. I have an appointment on saturday we'll see what I get then.

I once saw an M5 loaner from Crevier, I was so jealous of that guy haha

On another note, last time when I took it in for service they accidentally backed my car into a wall. They took full responsibility and replaced my bumper.
