Just updated iTunes. No more iPod

so as the title said, i updated my iTunes yesterday and now my ipod wont connect to my iDrive. its a 32G iPod touch that has been working fine (with the exception of not being able to charge when plugged in. before this i had a 20G iPod classic that worked absolutely fine.
has anyone else seen this problem after they upgraded itunes? please help- i hate the radio.

Did you update your firmware or just iTunes? Just upgrading iTunes shouldn't affect your iTouch. Did you try hard resetting it? Holding home and power button for 10 seconds until it reboots.

Interesting, as I have a similar problem ever since I updated itunes as well. I don't have iDrive, but I do have a Harmon Kardon drive and Play 2 iPod. Before, I'd just connect my iPod (old school 30 gig video model5 gen i think) and it would go into "accessory" mode and play. Now, when I connect, it doesn't recognize that it's connected until I play around with a few buttons. I'll try it out on my home stereo and see if I have the same issue.

yeah i figured it out. im kinda embarrassed but, it looks like i never synced my ipod properly. itunes was updated and i thought all my music transferred over. turns out all my music got erased and i had to re-sync it. thanks anyway guys.
