What's the cost for the part and estimated labor when it's all said and done?
TIA

$999 for the upgrade half shafts. That is both sides... race, cage, bar, and new boots. Install I am not sure. The install time depends on the shop to be honest. Maybe 2 hours most each way?

So does that upgrade have any performance gains? Or is it more of a preventative measure?
TIA

I did get a chance to take the car out some more and push it very hard. The shafts are definitely holding well. I put a low of power through these and the don't flinch. Launches or hard gear shifts. With a CM twin disc clutch, when you drop the hammer it grabs. I spin the car rear end loose into 3rd with a passenger on the bottle easily.

Great review and DIY, once again.
I must say, I'm pretty surprised to see DSS making shafts for the 335, but it's pretty cool. I'm fairly familiar with them since owning an IRS mustang. DSS makes a few different level shafts for the 03/04 Cobra guys that are making a ton of power at the strip. That being said, I had friends making 7-800whp and they snapped multiple DSS level 5 shafts that were supposed to be good for much more power. I'm sure these axles will do fine for the HP levels you guys are at now. If people start dropping blown LSX motors in 335's, I wouldn't expect them to hold up all that well, but I doubt that'll happen for quite a while lol. |

How are the shafts from DSS holding up. I'm going to send mine out in the spring time next year.
