First time BMW buyer. Is this a good deal on a 328i lease

Hi, I'm about to buy my first BMW. It's a 2009 328i Coupe. Jet black with the saddle interior. Steptronic, premium, and sport. They told me I'm getting a good deal because they only have two 2009's left, and they want to get rid of them.

The MSRP is 43,950.
They are discounting: 3,450
Selling Price: $40,500

For a 1000 total drive off, they want 563/month (including tax) They said the lease deal includes the 1,500 holiday rebate.

I've already went in twice. I think 563 a month for a 328i coupe is a little high and its a 2009 too. I really want the 335i coupe but my price range is only around 550 a month including tax.

So is this a good lease deal for a 328i coupe? I'm located in the bay area. Anyone have any connections or recommendations?

Get more quotes. Don't believe a word they say either. I'd say check out Weatherford, as they have the biggest selection, although they have terrible service. Also East Bay and Concord seemed like they were willing to make a deal, at least from my experiences.

That seems very high to me, I believe you can get a 2010 for that price, but don't quote me as I haven't tried.

I disagree, that sounds about right. You're essentially putting zero down toward the lease - that $1000 is covering security deposit and acquisition fee. Mid-500s tax included is making sense to me in this case. San Francisco is 9 or 9.5% sales tax, right? That means $50+ of your payment is tax alone, making the actual lease payment closer to $500.

IMO, you won't get a $44k 2010 for this price.

I'm actually co-signing with my parents. And since they just turned in a BMW lease back in june, they are waving the security deposit and reimbursing the 300 lease return fee or something. So that 1000 drive off does not have a security deposit. The 563 a month is based on 9.25% tax.

I was reading this forum and I saw that someone in FL got a 335 for 1500 drive off and 570 a month with tax. So thats why I thought this was too high.

I also want montego blue with the saddle interior. So essentially I am settling with this car because I don't really like the black exterior color. Should I just wait it out for a 2010 in the color I like? Do you think I'll be able to get a similar deal on a 2010 or should I just get this?

For an 09 you should be able to getting a better deal since 10's are coming in. I think 1000 above invoice or better, plus the holiday rebate for a total of 500 under invoice would be a great deal. You can probably get a good deal on the 2010's i would talk to an internet sales manager at the dealer not a sales person for the best deal.

Wow, 43k and 550 a month seems high for a 328 but I have no idea though. I thought my 335xi was in the 40s?

Check out the invoice pricing:

Keep in mind that the '10's are coming in, and they don't want the '09's anymore as they are just decreasing in value. I'm no expert, but I feel you can get a better deal, especially if you're settling on the color.

It seems high. I am about to order a 2010 328i w/Xdrive with a MSRP of $42620 for $530 a month INCLUDING NYC tax 0 down payment, other than the upfront fees.

You should be able to get less for a 2009.

That's a fantastic deal, especially for a car you're ordering and not taking from inventory.

Almost the same price for a 335 instead of the 328. Yes, do that deal!

The lease deals are actually better for the 2010's now than the 2009's because of the new lease programs. Just bought a 2010 328i coupe with higher MSRP than a 2009 with a slightly lower MSRP that the dealer had.

Sounds like a decent deal. I would buy rather than lease though.

Just bought the 328i coupe tonight. Got it down to 1000 drive off at 512 a month with 12,000 miles a year. They were willing to go to 501 a month but it only had 10,000 miles a year. So for 10 bucks more, I went with the 512 inc tax a month.

I think I got a pretty good deal.

What options? What's the MSRP? Anything down?
