Stage 2 really is for people running no cats whatsover...even though you meet the two criteria, the most important is catless for that map...I am not sure if it will do any harm if you run stage 2 instead of stage 1 which is what your mods call for...You may want to ask Shiv or other members!

I just thought it also had to do with the color of the relay harness, I swear I read that somewhere.............

now, people just gotta stop getting really defensive on the outcomes of these races(jb3 vs v3). people should realize just because one jb3 may have won, doesn't mean every v3 car will lose to a jb3 car and vise versa. this race just means that your car can beat his car with current mods and settings(maps). if the other driver wants to dispute, he either can race again or make changes to his set up in hopes of a different outcome. also depends if the v3 guy has the right map and not too high of UT or else it will be slower than lets say the default settings. after getting a tune, there are two major bottle necks...intake and stock dp's...change those two and i dont think you'll see as huge of a gain from each mod after. i didn't include after market FMIC because i dont have enough info off the top of my head to speak on behalf of that and you both have it so i'll assume its equal. after that being said, we know supporting mods will play the most important roll when it comes to tuned cars racing each other and every car will react differently to them so we'll see a good mix of both tunes winning and losing. i have to disagree with you about catless dp equal the same power gain as dp back exhaust when done alone. granted, both may produce similar peak power, but from what i've seen from several dynos shown that dp's produce far more [B]area[B] under the curve, mainly in the upper rpms(most important for racing from a roll) than a dp back exhaust. the lighter hood probably does squat. the lighter wheels from my experience is mostly noticeable from the dig, actually a world of a difference(if matched with good tires), and from a roll i probably seen a cunt hair difference. i have v3 and AFE oiled intake on now. catless dps in my room and forge diverter valves on the way. i opened my exhaust from the dp's back and i did notice an increase, but outside of the huge increase in noise, the difference was so minimal that now my main priority to buy a catback will be for sound. i'll see how the dp's do shortly. again, congrats on your win. keep the stories coming!

Not true, I have been running the full boost version and I have v30.2, I could care less about the warrenty or what BMW has to say. I am able to sustain full boost. I do have limp modes but the cause is not from the map because regardless of what map I use I get misfires...time to change the spark plugs and coil....again.

Kyle (Mack),
Looking at all your previous post on n54tech on your races. You are accustomed to running with 100 oct. Any chance there were still a couple of gallons of 100 oct still in the tank when you ran? Cause im sure that would make a difference as well. |
