Thanks[/QUOTE] sorry was on my phone when i wrote that.. lol so what you need to do is go back and read your cas module.. then set one of this two values to aktiv: this is for the mirrors to fold (note just one of this values will be on your trc) ASP_KOMFORT_EINKLAPP SPIEGEL_KOMFORT_EINKLAPP and this is for the windows/moonroof KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_FB after you change those values to aktiv.... save trc as.man as usual.. then change job to sg coderien then execute job after it does its thing dont close ncsexpert yet... at this point go to your work folder open the nettodat.trc file and locate that value that you already know where is it at 00300200 etcc then change OF to 00 then save as .man now go to ncs expert, click basic functions then you know the rest..................... if you still cant figure it out on your neext try i can help you remotely if you need me to.. let me know |

You were right, for some reason "SPIEGEL_KOMFORT_EINKLAPP" switched from "aktiv" to "nicht_aktiv" on its own. I was able to switch it back to "aktiv". All is well now.
Thanks again for all your help. It was greatly appreciated.

Hi all,
I managed to get it worked on my car (e93 with CA) Key fob is okay but not the ridges on the doors... That's very strange cauze cn555ic was able to make it worked... "As soon as you press the ridges on the door handle the doors lock and mirrors fold in within a half second!!!" When I touch the ridges, the car will just lock; mirrors won't fold. Any clue? Could someone plz share .trc files?? |

Try to code the CAS module... Look for FH_komfortF_mit_subst and set that to aktiv |

Listen Joe...Please make your own thread and post all the videos you want...Dont clutter this thread with your videos...What he is asking has nothing to do with the video.
I am sure your way works best for you to change NETTODAT but this DIY shows people to use the NCSdummies...ALot of people especially beginners feel more comfortable using NCSDummies. |

Calm down guys. TRC works for some people and NCSdummies work for others. The whole point of threads is to share no matter the shape and form of the information involved.
We all learn bits and pieces from one another so let there be calm and lets all get along. |

I am not arguing with anyone. Just stating the more ways to do something is great and all but it takes away from the thread when you show too many ways to beginners. Too much info. It's fine and great to show other ways but make another thread on it. I have been on this forum for awhile and when I read threads that are all over the place at the beginning when I first tried to learn coding. It was confusing as hell.

Well, some news...
I tried what you said cn555ic but it didn't work... FH_KOMFORTF_MIT_SUBST --> aktiv so I made a search in the .trc file and found : KOMFORTSCHLIESSUNG_PA set to nicht_aktiv... After changing the value to aktiv, well, it workssssss !! Thanks everyone !! |

There's no need for NETTODAT coding or any sort of manual editing, just do it the proper way by actually adding new parameters.
This is the truly "correct" way of doing it - rather than hacking in a custom value directly into the NETTODAT, you're actually creating a custom parameter with the desired value in the daten file for that module. Then the standard FSW_PSW.TRC is being modified to specify the name of that parameter. When NCS Expert codes the module, it sees the parameter name you created, consults the daten file, sees the parameter name and definition (your custom value), and writes the binary value to the module accordingly. There's a few benefits of doing things this way other than it just being the proper means of doing so. First, you're actually updating the module daten, so any future times you code your car or any other car with the same version of the module, you'll have that option available to you without doing anything new. Second, it's a good habit to get into doing, especially since some modules don't play nice with NETTODAT coding. Finally, and although it may not look it from the instructions, it's easier and more elegant than editing the NETTODAT, and a lot more foolproof. Happy coding.

Oh, and another thing - has anyone checked to see if this value is what controls the delay for comfort eject? It'd be nice to have comfort eject eject the key quicker when holding the off button instead of having to wait a whole two seconds.
