suspension decision
Hey guys.
Need help to decide what I should do. My car is currently on eibach pro kit and stock shocks with dinan rear shock mounts. At first the ride was fine, but now my shock are given out and the ride is bad. I have the option to go with bilstein HD or ST coil-over (KWv1). I'm looking for a decent comfort, I'm not super crazy about comfort, but mostly about durability. Also I don't care about my car being super low, the ride height with eibach springs is great for me. Both will cost about the same for me, but the price is not the problem just want to make the right decision. any suggestion what with be a good choice or ever another set of shocks the will work great. thanks |

if you don't care about height and just ride quality then get the Koni Yellows.. they are adjustable..

Koni Yellows are just struts/shocks which have dampening control (not ride height)... you keep your springs...

Thanks guys. I like the koni yellows but I'm leaning to bilsteins cause I know they internally bump stopped. Correct me if I'm wrong. Yes they are known to be durable

We like the Koni's over the Bilstein's for ride quality and damping adjustments. Both are high quality products.

The Bilstein HD front struts have an internal bump stop; the rear shocks do not.

Alright Guys pulled the trigger on friday and order a set of Bilstein Sport (shorter version of HD) with brand new OEM upper and lower spring pads for both front and rear and also new OEM rear lower shock mount.
I'll be doing a write up with pictures of the removal and inspection of the old shocks and parts I'll include the install. Also a new set of cup holders cause my driver one broke. |
