2008 335i with 80,0xx miles. I bought the car in March with 48,000 miles on it and drove roughly 4,000 per month for work (interstate driving). I have the documented mileage reports. It is a buyback from BMW California for the fuel pump recall. What happens is got the check engine light and they blame it on the fuel pump issue, while all along it is the carbon buildup issue we all know about. The owner drove it in LA stop and go traffic which is the number one cause of carbon buildup. Knowing this about these cars, I bought it an took it to the dealer when the light came on. It would only come on when under heavy load under 3000 RPMs. You would get the studder then engine light. Classic carbon symptoms.

They beat around the bush and replaced all the coils, DME, software, injectors, plugs etc all the while I am telling them to just remove the intake and clean the carbon. Well they didn't want to do this under warranty of course, is they did then they would have an issue in their hands admitting to this. Anyway, after all the other time they wasted replacing stuff and reloading the software on the computer, they finally cleaned the carbon under warranty and voila! No check engine light ever again.

It did have COBB on it and while it was fun playing with the ATR, I was always on the road for work and never really got to enjoy it. It still has the wagner on it but it is coming off and the stock one is going back on. Everything is bone stock.

New tires 90%+ left
New plugs at 78000ish dealer replaced service
Mobile 1 full synth around 7000mi intervals

Sports package
Logic 7
Cold weather package
Premium package with alum trim
Navigation

$23,000 obo. Will ship CONUS at buyers expense.

This car is immaculate. It is literally like new. No one ever rode in the passenger seats. I am in sales and was by myself all the time.

Sweet car...it's just so hard to buy a high mileage 335...even highway miles. I drive 30k a year for work too or I would seriously look at it. GLWS.

People that understand 40,000 miles at 2500rpm on a smooth southern interstate shows not effect on vehicles. Its the 40,000 miles around town on shitty roads that makes cars buckets. I'll take the high mileage vehicle at a discount anyday.

I dont really think its a misconception of miles that hasn't generated any response. I've been eyeballing this market for several months now and the price keeps going down on these cars. There are some in the 100k range selling for ~15k

No discredit to you or the car (because it looks really clean) but going off of what I see other cars sell for, 23k is ~2 grand above what I would expect to see it go for and rather quickly.

So are you saying if I drop the price to $21k it will move fast?

Not really. The wife drove it for the next 18mos and it had been sitting since March. it has 110,000 miles on it now. Just really need to sell it now. She has an X5 and I have an E90M3 that I am selling. Need to get rid of both the M3 and 335i to get a truck to pull the new racecar.

GLWS. The 335i used market is tough...people are so scared of the N54 above 80k miles even if all the common failures have been taken care of.

Yeah it will take someone that either doesn't know anything about the history of the N54 or someone that knows that the only thing that goes bad, now that everything has been corrected (by BMW), are the turbos after 50-60k miles of normal driving. They just have become a new maint item just like the carbon cleaning.
