Got my first SLR :)

So I have been thinking about fooling around with a camera for a while and I don't have intentions of being a pro or anything but I wanted to educate myself with cameras a bit as well as become familiarized with the functions and lenses etc. I did a bit of snooping around and I picked up a used Sony A330L for $300 bucks from a local guy off craigslist. Doesn't come with any addons at all outside of the standard lens, memstick and a charger but It is great condition considering the price. Just wanted to welcome myself to the crowd and any bits of advice or links are always welcome

Welcome and enjoy the benefits of your new camera. Try to make your shots NOT look like point and shoot snaps!

congrats and just go out and shoot. get a tripod if you want to shoot night shoots

Anyone recommend a sony(compatible) lens I should get outside of the standard lens?
