helix fmic/ar dp's went on today..

So today i had stopped by helix in manayunk for most of my day. Had them install their FMIC as well as my ceramic coated AR design cattless downpipes. The guys at helix are really cool, down to earth, easy to talk to guys. I spent my time studying and looking through several mini magazines which i have to say, i do like them. Something about em....

Anyway. It was about 66 degrees and humid on the drive home so you wouldnt expect too much heatsoak with a tuned car BUT i could absolutely feel a difference. Solid power, every gear, etc. On the way home from the gym later this evening around 11pm, once it was more chilly out, i can STILL feel the car just running more solid. I guess you're temps are cooler to any extent, bc youre getting better and more airflow etc. I highly recommend the helix intercooler, and highly recommend dealing with those guys. Im eager to see how it holds up in some hotter temps next week.

The downpipes, well.. Just what youd expect, definetly a power gain, faster turbo spool, and i can now hear the turbos hissing away even a light boost. BTw, had them sent to jet hot for ceramic coating. I feel its definitely worth biting on every cooling feature possibly for the N54, soo ya. The two mods together definitely have the car feeling excellent whether im cruising around town or gunning the car on the highway. Tomorrow i plan to pop the hood and adjust my procede's map 2 to 16psi. Car feels great, thank you helix.
And for the record, they have a few FMIC's left from their recent batch so if youre looking at getting one, call them tomorrow before theyre gone. No, i wasnt told to type this..

Nice bro! Now I'll have to take a ride in your car to feel the difference. Did you get the dp's through helix too?

Where did you get the ceramic coating done and what did it cost? I know it was Jet Hot, but they have many vendors.

VAC motorsports in philly man. $254. i feel it as a smart move to keep heat out of engine bay and enhanced air flow.

ps, adjusted map 2 vishnu settings today. start boost 50%, peak boost 16.5psi, ignition control at 50%, speed limiter off. the car absolutely rips. IC and dp's make a major improvement
