The X5 and the 135i take just as much time. It takes around 1.5 hours per car.

Takes me around 2-3 hours depending on what I do. Usually full hand wash of the wheels, drying, spray wax, and interior vacuum/wiping down panels will take me right around 3 hours.

It's nearly 4 hours largely because I take my time doing the leather and carpet. Kind of a "if I'm going through the hassle of doing it, might as well do it right" type thing.

Trust me, I get the same reaction from the neighbors. "You're still cleaning?"

Most of the time I don't even realize how long I've been at it till someone stops me when I do a full detail.
Yeah I get that reaction when I wash my car. I only wash it once a week sometimes once every two weeks if I'm busy. I do other things like interior, polishing waxing, maintenance stuff and I always get the "you're washing your car again"

The answer is...It all depends. If I had detailed it just a month ago, and I'm just washing off the dust, 30 minutes. Wash the wheels, then wash the car. Dry, dress the tires, and vacuum. Maybe wipe down the dash and console.

But twice a year, I'll wash, clay bar, wax, then the windshield, headlights, wheels, tires, then interior. That'll take at least 4 hours.

But I would rather have my car be dirty then take it to a car wash. If it's hot, I'll wait for a cooler day to wash it.
