Yeah, a roofbox was also considered. And would probably be actually what I should do.
But as I said, 15 months in and I'm looking for a change anyway. A5 is okay, I guess, as is the A7, but neither are cars I would really want. I'm an estate guy now. I did look at a Qashqai+2, but they aint all that big inside. So looked at the X-Trail as it's bigger. But too expensive. More expensive than the 5 series / A6 / E Class when buying PCP. One of my neighbours has a 5GT and it is a lovely looking motor. The wife doesn't think so as much as me. |

I wouldn't put the QQ as a 'luxury' motor but it is fecking cheap to run. Free servicing for 3 years, 40mpg easy, 50mpg on a run, £100 p/a tax, 7 seats and loads of kit. The roof box literally doubled our boot space and was a great place to dump handy stuff!
I'd swap it for an X5 in an instant given the chance. |

I forgot to say, what made me realise how small, relatively, the E91 was when we bought the missus a mini countryman (with the proceeds from the 335i).
The mini has more rear head and a lot more rear legroom, and only 20 litres less bootspace than the E91. (440 v 460 litres). It feels bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside, whereas the e91 is the other way round. We went to cornwall on hols for a week with one 5 yr old in the mini and it was a winner all round. I'm not saying buy a mini countryman, but it comes to something when a mini is bigger than a 3 series family wagon! Last edited by doughboy; 10-03-2013 at 03:32 PM.. |

I was really unimpressed with the space in an E91 when looking for something bigger.
agree with Roger on the QQ, ours is possibly the best car I've bought (and I've just bought an M3!) Sure, its not BMW quality, but its a great kid carrier. I recently went in a Mazda CX-5 and was very impressed, and unless anything else interesting appears, Im pretty sure that I will be leasing one of those once the lease on the QQ finishes. |

We looked at a QQ+2, but they are just so hideous looking in and out and drive like wobbly plastic dogs we just couldn't do it, even thought they're good VFM.
Every other car at school is a QQ these days! sorry to QQ owners |

QQ are alright. I was wanting to look at them, as when I bought my passat, I noticed the prices they were fetching at auction, and thought they were doing good money.
So took the wife to look at one, and it was a no go. Of course, it ended up costing the same deposit and per month wise as the car I just put down a deposit on this morning. By the time we sepc'd it around where we wanted. Perhaps not as bargainous as the E-Class Merc, or the Audi A6, but I'd much prefer a 530d M-Sport Touring anyway. |
