Easier/Cheaper to replace the door? E90 Passenger Side hit

Hey all!

Still driving my 08 e90 and of course a nasty dent shows up in my car after being publicly parked. Luckily it took 10+ years for something like this to happen as opposed when it was new, but it's a huge eye sore.

I made one call at a dent repair person, and he quoted $850! since it was a painted dent repair. Quick ebay search shows that I can probably get the door itself between 300-500 shipped. Installation will be a bit, but I have a friend who can assist. Seems like a no brainer to me unless you think based on the photos, that the repair can be cheaper and I just have to find someone else.

Jesus did they kick their door open like Leonidas from 300?

Just a heads up, (idk anything about pdr process) but I recently had some door dings removed and the guy mentioned that there's a brace behind the door about half way down (about the level of that sidemarker) that made working in that area a bit difficult. Idk if it'll even effect you since the dent is above the area but in your Pic I noticed some buckling underneath the main dent so figured I'd mention it
