question about zhp shift knob

Hi. I have a new vehicle on order, a 2012 e91 328i xDrive sport wagon, 6MT, jet black with chestnut brown lthr, no roof rails, style 286 wheel upgrade, sport pkg (NOT M-sport), luxury pkg, convenience pkg, value pkg, HK audio, Nav, performance exhaust. I want to order a ZHP shift knob to replace the stock shift knob on the 6MT. I am coming off a lease of a 2009 335i xDrive 6MT with M-sport pkg. In that vehicle the boot is attached to the M-sport shift knob. I am hoping that in my new vehicle the stock knob is separate from the boot and can be replaced by the ZHP knob without having to change the boot -- is that correct?

Thank you for your advice.
