Pic request: 335 exhaust tips
As title please, if you have changed the tips from the OEM ones, what have you got?
Is 4" the best size for the cut out? This pic posted on Sam's thread the other day made me realise I really need to get a 335 style exhaust sorted! |

I don't want a 335i, Ive already had 500bhp petrol engines... been there done the big power stuff.
I don't want a 335d because I don't want an auto. I was as good as sold the 330d at xmas, so sold the bits I'd rounded up! I've been chatting to my mate who runs a garage and he says a 335 style conversion can be done very easily, pretty much bolt on too for anyone wishing to convert back when selling the car or whatever. We are going to use mine as a test to see whats what and then maybe offer it to other people too (a lot cheaper than some places offer the conversion for!) |

Been quoted £540 witch is stupidly expensive just for back box conversion. Going to do it my self self and save around £500 as materials only cost £40-50
Roll on next weekend |

Exactly!
£56 for a standard 335i diffuser from bmminiparts, a pair of tips and some pipes and bends plus a few hours labour! Fuck knows where they get £500+ from |

I agree.
I do like outward rolled, but would never use it in this way as I don't think it would suit the look. I think I would go for straight cut. It would be good to get a closer shot of the white one above |

Straight cut looks the nuts IMO!
Probably gonna do the 335 conversion too - funds allowing! Will be going for 4" straight cut. You having this done soon? Defo interested in seeing what's involved. I'd also be after a 'bolt on' style so I can return it to standard when the time comes |

I've got to order a diffuser and have a quick look at things on the ramp first, so will be a few weeks at least.
We also want to look to see if its essential to order the 335 boot section which is flatter. I will post when I know more |

There is a little burble on start up and idle. And a bit of turbo whistle on lifting off the gas for gear change, but you can only hear this with the windows down. Apart from that, no different from standard. Even on full throttle its quiet. If you was to remve the DPF it could get load lol.
