Good
Looks
Handling
tuneability

Bad
Ride - Frankly atrocious and is majorly pissing me off.
Maintenance costs - new turbos hurt.
Fuel costs - 30 mpg is good but gets tiring.

On balance, I'm keeping the car until I'm fed up with it (another year or so). I'll probably replace it with a used 125d or something similarly quick yet economical. I use the power fairly regularly, but only in short bursts. In reality its too quick for my new 16 mile cross country commute and I'd struggle to shake the above diesel on the same road..

2 - I love the look, I think it's still a fantastic looking car considering mine is 6 years old. I think it looks very modern compared to a lot of newer cars.
3 - It handles extremely well for a big car. I've owned a track prep'd Pug 205 Mi16 before and that thing was a hoot to drive, but it never gave you the same reassurance the 335d does when you chuck it into bends.

Dislikes:

1 - Every knob in a <insert generic boy racer type car here> sees twin exhausts and wants to race. My wife won't drive the car anymore as she says it attracts too many idiots. I think it's just her driving but don't tell her that...Personally I tend to ignore them until they get bored and go away, or when that doesn't work, the foot 'accidentally' nails the fast pedal and they soon stop messing with me, usually because they're several hundred meters behind...
2 - The combination of M-Sport suspension and run-flat tyres. I got rid of the tyres in the end as there was only so many times I could jolt my spine and not need an appointment to see my chiropractor.
3 - Never being allowed out of junctions. The end of the road I work on is a nightmare to get out of at the best of times. People would stop and let me out regularly in previous cars I've owned, that hasn't happened once in the BMW yet so I end up having to edge my way out till someone has no choice but to stop

Interesting, I haven't seen any boy racer trying to race...had 1 impreza sti who tried it at the lights...and it got smoked.....big time...

1- drive position and interior in general (apart from steering trim peel)
2- engine
3- looks

Bits that bug me
1- passengers trying to open the door before I've ejected the fob and they have to pull the handle twice. (I know I can turn auto lock off..)
2- closing the tailgate. An e39 touring of mine had soft close which is missing on this.
3- auto box doesn't know what's going on occasionally.

Sadly there's quote a few 'boy racers' where I live and most of them have had a go (and been destroyed in the process).

I've got to be a good boy now though as I got pulled over doing 93mph on the M62 earlier in the week so my driving license is about to be tarnished with 3 points. So no more 'smoking' boy racers (unless I'm sure there's no rozzers around of course...)

I need to spend some time in your area. I find the same as zltm. I love a good traffic light grand prix but since I got the 335 its very rare that anyone will have a go. In my old 325d E90, every boy racer and rep mobile out there tried to take me on..... I really miss that in a (sad childish i know) way

When i had my chaved up 406, i always got bullied by GTIs, Type Rs, Lexus etc at the traffic lights...

Now, I think they know what a 335 can do and don't even try it...

don't indulge boy racers as its pointless. once when entering the slip road to m20 one in an rs escort something or other tore off from the lights, I let him g then on the motorway once the 335 had built up a bit of steam I caught him and went past like he was standing still, that was quite satisfying but I refuse to rev the nuts off my car to prove a point a already know the answer to.
