2011 328i Ordering

I'm about to head into the dealership today (BMW of Monrovia).
Desired car:

2011 328i
6-speed manual
Montego Blue
Chestnut Brown (Value Pkg)
Aluminum Trim

Xenon Headlights

MSRP = $35,475
Invoice = $32,695 (excluding MACO / Training)
(all assuming prices don't change from 2010)
Edmunds doesn't seem to have a full list.

Would a reasonable offer be invoice + MACO + training?
Or should I throw in an extra $500 to not come off as insulting?
($33,195 + MACO / Training)

Any input would be highly valued.

+1 Although its going to be hard to find a dealer to get to $500 over invoice, especially in Cali.

If you were in NY/NJ/CT, I can get this car to you for 0 over invoice

Funny, a couple of CA tells me similar quote, everytime I ask if he'll take $500 over here in WA, "MAYBE In CALI"

I have a feeling any dealer that takes your order may want you to put large un-refundable deposit. The car you configure above is going to be hard to sell if you back-out on the deal.

Just got back. I love it! 200 over invoice with $500 deposit.

I did test drive the steptronic on a 2010 and didn't like the tid-bit of a lag. I guess the transmission was still "learning" on a new unit but it got up to speed pretty effortlessly. Me likey.

Look at the invoice sheets, where the actual price of the car is. Its a standard fee and MANDATORY. Last year it was $180, this year it is $200.

On top of that there is a advertising fee, which is called MACO. That is $300 here (varies by region) and is also mandatory.

Mike that's a killer deal. I got mine for $1200 over invoice (all other fess included in there already), you have to give that CA all '10' in CSI survey

Yes, yes. I'm not questioning the legality of those fees, just venting on seperately listed fees as I'm used to buying Japanese.

Anyways, BMW is the first brand that allowed me to custom order without being a b*tch. I will admit, however, that I'm only 20 without anyone else accompanying me into the dealership. So, that could be a big factor. Montego Blue is the best out of all my cross-shopping options: Aruba Blue (Audi A4) and Athens Blue (Infiniti G37 Coupe).

The estimated production date will be June. Can't wait!

Mike, production in June? it'll take another 6 weeks to get to you just FYI.
Mine is being built right now and ETA would be 1st week of June. The wait sucks.

Great deal you got there! I am surprised you didn't order Sports Package. I know it's expensive, but I always thought people who order 6MT will also order Sports Package.

Oh, yes. I'm very well aware of that. The wait won't suck for me because I'm heading overseas for summer break. When the new semester starts, I will take delivery. This is why I ordered now

Everything in the ZSP is probably replaceable in my standards (coming from Japanese modding):
Wheels = I want my own 18" with PROPER summer tires.
Steering wheel = Don't need
Speed limiter = Don't need (I got into a rollover at 110+ with just bruises and small cuts. Free pass = used)
Sport seats = Okay, I admit this option is very worthwhile but not the price of the whole package.
Sport suspension = Eibach or H&R + Bilstein or Koni
Shadowline exterior trim = DIY
