trans service auto / DCT

I am doing a 335 step in the morning so can let you know an accurate price soon,
There is also a DCT 335 coming in as well, so can price up both transmissions at the same time.

Pete. What's your hourly rate? I got quoted $145/hour when I called for an exhaust install. Tbh, I feel that's quite high.

Yes you are correct that is our hourly rate.Though it is just a guide I think it is fair and very cheap when you think about what we offer. Autologic, 4x4 dyno, Fabrication, Tuning, 40years worth of automotive and motor sport knowledge, etc.

You could pay $200-$250 for an apprentice to work on your car if you were to go to a Dealer. they can do the etc, clean your car, and sit you down on the leather lounge with a coffee.
You will never be able to discuss the repair with the guy that worked on your car so you are stuck with the white collar at the desk who just wants your money.

If that is all you need you should go there

don't get me wrong Pete, more than happy to pay for the autologic, dyno and fabrication costs if i am there for those things..

But if its a simple axle back exhaust install with custom tips, what are you quoting as the estimated time for this?

- Feel free to PM me.

Best to ring me as there are two 100km services we do for the Bemers.
1st is what BMW say which is not much,
then there is the Advan 100km service, we change all the fluids diff, trans, coolent, brake fluid, engine oil etc our list is long.
it would help also after looking at your CBS. We can do a custom service as it depends what has been done lately.

To fit up a BMW performance exhaust to the E90 335 will cost around $80.00
but to do a custom deal ie mufflers, tips, hangers etc and made from stainless steel it could cost $800 +

It is unusual that we would charge our full hourly rate on a lot of jobs it does depend what we are doing.

Yes i know, thats why its good to be on a forum when you own these types of cars as they can be a big problem.

All our prices are for forum members only, so you need to make it known to Advan YOU SAW THIS ON THE FORUM.

Or we will charge the retail price. lots more

DCT trans service

To service the DCT trans is costly and not worth doing under 100,000km.
I have just completed one that has done 40,000km it was still as new inside, this is good to know as the car has done more than a few track days.

The oil is $60.00 ltr so with the two filters, oil, labour, and Autologic update
cost will be around $1300.00.

That is great to know!!! There's been hear say about the durability of the DCT.

Do you know what benefit or changes the Autologic update provides to the DCT?

I'll make sure to sell mine well before I get close to 100k's Pete. Lucky mine has only just done 26k's.

That 335i has had more than a few track days.

Anyway it's good to know the oil was still in good condition.

I'm keen to know more about the DCT Autologic update also.
