Recommend A Tuning Chip
Hi
My 318d exclusive arrives in a few weeks and the first thing I'm going to add is a tuning chip. I can see DTUK do deals on here but are they the best or is there better. I'm not concerned about fuel efficiency (company car) but I need a reliable chip I can remove for servicing but one that provides an extra 40-50bhp. All suggestions welcome.

No.
It's a hybrid scheme called ECO but I own the car and finance it using money provided by the company.

Ah okay, I ask as I have one on a Lex lease.
Sounds like a PP scheme of some sort but its not familiar to me. Let me know how you get on, I was curious regarding insurance but thats not an issue for you

I know that thread is there what my query is.....
Is there any others that people have tried or would recommend or is the DTUK chip the best/only way to go? Surely there must be competition?

Do a quick search on here and you will find many threads. Main players in the UK for our engine are DMS & Evolve, both much of a muchness. They've both been successfully mapping the 335i for over 3 years. Your looking around 370bhp for a straight forward remap which belive me transforms the car!! Evolve have an offer for members of e90post £499. |

Birds also offer a 366 hp remap, priced around £1000 I think. Think I might be heading up to Luton quite soon.......... Mike. |

Rather than start another remap thread I thought I would add to this one...
Thinking of getting a Remap on my new to me 2007 E91 320d 70k miles. I would rather use someone local to me (Torbay/Exeter/Plymouth) but there still seems to be many different companies offering the service. Is there much any difference in the performance from the various different remap companies? They all seem to advertise very similar results for the 163hp 320d i.e. 70 ish extra NM torques and 35 ish extra hp... Not sure about the difference in costs. The nearest BMW Indy to me that I can find is Paddock Motors in Exeter who are an agent for Autologic Performance Tuning. There is a Superchips dealer in Plymouth - Alan Jeffery's, there is also a rapid remap dealer in Plymouth and finally a mobile guy out of Exeter. I would rather use the BMW specialist who should know my car better. Any advice / experience with Autologic remaps or am I better off with one of the others??? |
