took my car in for service other day at Autowest BMW, and was given new 08 323i loaner for the day, had less than 2k kms on it. they had maybe 5-6 of these identical cars, all gray, & premium package.

at first i thought it was a 325i because it had the 325i rims and fogs, until i read the badge on the back of the car.

i played around with the car and found quite a few differences compared with my 06 323i. overall pretty minor stuff but the fogs and rims surprised me

-different shifter
-chrome ring on audio knobs
-chrome ring on a/c knobs
-buttons on steering wheel makes less of a "click" sound
-sound fades in/out when you press the on/off switch for audio
-can adjust the bass/treble/etc -10 to 10, mine can only do -5 to 5
-different seatbelt chime
-fogs
-rims (like the 325i non sports rim)

If you go to the BMW.ca website(I looked at the compare models page) and look at the 323i, under active safety it says halogen free-form fog lights.

Looks like they've made it more attractive for 08.
