Surprised no one even mentioned actually having it painted from a body shop. Had mine done this week and it looks flawless and true glossy like oem shadowline.

Yeah well its a matter of $$ honestly. I dont know how much that body shop charged you but my vinyl wrap cost me $45.. I would obviously get better results with your way of doing things but would also probably end up paying 4x more..!

I'm all for saving money but I'd rather pay 4x more to have it done properly. I know your still learning but I'd really redo that peice in the close up pic. Looks you cut small pieces and just slapped them on.

Pick up some more vinyl and give it another go. If it was your first time wrapping...chalk it up to a learning curve.

I wrapped my interior trim and messed up on the first piece....after that you get the hang of it. But you have to use heat. The vinyl can be stretched around corners and using heat rather than cutting as much will help you out a lot. If you don't have a heat gun a hair dryer will work as well.

Oh well. Thats 8 pieces for e90. Im sure coupe is not much different. I think i remember quoting e90 around $800 before so perhaps they have come down. Parts ised to be more $ than chrome. Now seem to be the same.

In any case what was paint cost??

Make sure that's shadowline and not just the standard black. Shadowline is more glossy and some e90s came stock with a matte black I believe. I know for a fact your not getting shadowline for $378

Whoops!

Missed the largest part on the list! add $174.50x2 to the 378

So over $700 now.

Depends where you go obviously. Shouldn't pay more than 3-400 to paint
