http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=79514 I think that eisenmann suggests that you weld on the mufflers, but a lot of guys on here just clamp them without any problems.

wow, i really wanted this exhaust, but now i dont know. how difficult is it to do this? im planning to take it to a shop but dont know if any around my area does cutting and welding.

When purchasing the full system Section I&II and rear muffler no cutting is required its 100% bolt-on.

When I got my Eisenmann, I for sure had it welded on. Any muffler shop can do it, its not rocket science.

sections 1 and 2 aren't downpipes this is not a turbo back system....you need to buy dp's for that....here is what they say on the eisenhaus website:
E92 335i/xi: Section (1+2) Complete SR Pipe Option: Removes secondary cat-converter + x-pipe eliminates middle resonator box. These pipes, combined with the muffler, comprise a full cat-back exhaust system for the 335i/xi. |
