The Saga of e90 Issues..
Hey guys, here goes a little tid bit into my service history.
My car: 2007 e90 328i - 43K miles Over the life of this car I have had weird electrical issues with it, first the cigarette lighter went out for no reason.. and after that it went down hill. 1st: 5k miles on the car - Brakes say need to be changed because they are 347,000 miles overdue. Dealer resets the car, calls it good. 2nd: 7k miles - 347,000 overdue brakes. Dealer swaps the sensors because they "broke" 3rd: 15k miles - same thing. Dealer replaced the sensors, pads, and rotors. 4th: 23k miles....brakes overdue 347k miles... Im annoyed to say the least. Dealer says, oh you switched wheels... thats the issue right there and.. I cut them off before he could finish - i say "this has been documented as an issue in the car before I switched anything - i expect you to fix it and not give me dealer BS about my wheels" they fix it, replace everything and send me on my way... car seems fine. 5th: well this is where i am now, currently my car is at the dealer, its been there since yesterday for the same issue. Dealer said it would take 2 hours to fix, so i wated...for 3. then they said its not working and gave me a loaner. no call from the dealer. today i call and see whats up.. They say "the DTC controller is saying its not up to date, but it is up to date - so i dont know what going on" confidence in the dealer is shot now, i was supposed to have my car back by noon today (its 4:08pm) and havent even heard from them with an update. they had so much computer stuff hooked up to my car it was like a science experiment, and from what the dealer told me, my traction system is dead, brake system is dead.. and i have a shitty LCI loaner that is slow and boring to drive with no info on my beloved car.. |

Call a lawyer, and get it lemon law. You shouldn't be repeteadly fixing the brakes, on any car. Its a critical component.

doesn't lemon law only qualify if its within a certain time period? im pretty sure that it being 3 years old w/ 43k on the odo, that there's no way to lemon it at this point.
however because its still under warrenty everything should be fixed on it... |

Seriously, this really sucks for the dealer. If they're doing the work their supposed to do and the electronics are telling them a different story, there's not much they can do. At this point it ppears to be a manufacturing problem. |
