which to do first?

Downpipes or custom exhaust. I can get either done for around 1k. What do you guys think would be better to do first?? Seems the downpipes are yielding higher gains in hp/tq.

It also looks like I can install the downpipes myself so install cost is zippo. The exhaust I have already priced including install.

DPs you may decide after them that the exhaust is loud enough (if thats why you want exhaust) plus you can buy them for cheaper than 1k w/o having to worry about getting them made

PROcede first, if you don't have it already. I would have gotten them too, but I can't pony up the money at this moment.

I should make a poll....so far I have one vote for downpipes...one I dont know what he said so we'll call that undecided...and one for exhaust.

+1 DP with stock exhaust does still give a nice sound.

I'm leaning towards DP then exhaust, but I would be a lot less concerned if Shiv would release a DP specific map. some of the DP dyno's I have seen are a little troubling, great power but I question their overall safety.

If you go DP's first wouldnt it be kinda counter productive?

I mean you get a more free flowing dp but at the same time its still flowing through the same restrictive exhaust.

Youll still gain HP but not as much as going through an aftermarket exhaust.

I guess thats why most companies sell it as a turbo back exhaust.

Either way you go its a win, win situation. If you go DPs your eventually going to get an exhaust and vis versa.

If your looking for a bang for your buck right now tho go with dps.

Or save up and get them at the same time.

+1 That's exactly what I was thinking. I'm going the route of same time.
