I am trying to set up the bluetooth. I need some 4 digit pin. I did not see anything in the user manual that had the pin. Any suggestions?

This, it wants the pin from your phone to pair it up. Usually this is default.

You program the pin code yourself on both the car and the phone when you pair them.

Here are the radio and bluetooth manuals

Here are the radio and bluetooth manuals that you need assumming
you have pro radio . They others are available online and the main
manual is available as a download on bmwusa.com

There are also quite a few video instructions on ytube you need to do the appropriate search to find
them.

Manuals

http://www.bawarec.ru/manuals/3er/e9...3er-e90-12.pdf

Also there are many sub forums on this site you need to go to the root
directory . There is one on manuals.

These are the ones I find most useful.

This worked. I thought I had to have some pin that came with the car.

Thank you.

What about playing music via bluebooth? Not possible?

They only started that in 2011.5 with idrive/nav

They only started that in 2011.5 with idrive/nav
(streaming bluetooth music)

There are after market options for adding it .
Also for upgrading the stereo go here

http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=27

1) cheap aux adaptors that plug into the aux.
2)adapters that integrate with the car such a the Dension gateway 500s bt
or mobridge equivalent unit.
3)this is the best of the cheap variety if you already have ipod as it displays the songs but it might only
be for idrive I am not sure
