Do you really want me to list all of the things better about the modded 335 compared to the modded GLI? I don't think so. It doesn't take a genius to figure out which is a better car. Suspension, power, balancing, etc. The only thing better about my GLI is the MPG at an average of 29. I get an average of 24-25 now.

this wasn't supposed to be a modded gti/gli vs. 335 debate... BUT i sold my gti to buy a 335 - but it pained me to do so...
the GTI cost me 17k (bought it used w/ 17k miles on it) fully loaded package 2 w/ dsg... first auto i ever bought and set the standard for all transmissions to come.... i love driving stick but i needed a car i could live with day in day out in the amazing traffic we deal with daily here on long island.. so - the gti cost me 17k and did 80% of what the 335 does at 1/3 the price... dual zone climate control, fabulous heated leather seats, AMAZING steering wheel, perfectly weighted steering...very balanced chassis (for a fwd) - great on fuel, amazing transmission, bi-xenon hid's (auto leveling) and incredibly versatile because of the hatch... i fit my freaking 50" DLP in the thing! i just got bored of front wheel drive cars - so the 335 was the next logical step. BUT i do miss the DSG... |
