are you speaking of the ss or aa?
personally ss is a VERY distinct sound. maybe not on a 335i yet but on my previous m3 w/ full ss setup with res...jebus sounded soo nice. yes there are people that say too loud, to deep, etc but personally it really did sound different from everything else. the roar through the rpms...wow. only thing i MIGHT have settled for was the kreis seig valvetronic but for me i didn't want the hassel bs of installing the switch etc lol. the ss was expensive but a great buy... i am awaiting the bmw upgrade that is rumored. a flash would be nice and being covered under warranty even nicer. i will settle no more then -15-20 max hp/tq from the aa or procede specs. |

It's unfortunate that Supersprint is a pricey exhaust but they are all made in Italy then shipped to Supersprint North America where they distributed to other dealers. Supersprint may not be DOT legal but most of their exhausts are TUV approved in Europe and TUV has much stricter standards versus our DOT...mainly for sound emissions.
Supersprint is very popular for the E46 M3, E39 M5, and E60 M5 crowd. I know because I've sold dozens of SS exhaust items. I do hope that AA Tuning can get their exhausts ready especially for the E90. |

TUV - TÜV' stands for Technischer Überwachungsverein in German or Technical Inspection Association in English. TÜV Rheinland Berlin Brandenburg is one of many Independant Technical Inspection companies doing research and testing to ensure that services, and products (amongst them car parts) conform to some common standard. ISO plays a big part in setting these standards, and the independant labs generally test for conformance to ISO or DIN or any other standards. When people say something is TUV approved (like a wheel), all that means is that a Technical Inspection company checked it out to make sure it meets a certain criteria. What that criteria is, depends on the product, and what standard is being applied, ISO9000 standard or some other. |

new question. is the aa exhaust system a direct replacement without the need of cuts, etc? i am asking this b/c i want the ss mufflers and i e-mailed them with a reply of the ss mufflers fitting directly on the stock exhaust. so if the aa exhaust system replaces factory = ss mufflers fit perfectly = me
confirm please? |

From reading the thread, it seems that there are happy clients from both camps.
My primary concern is customer service if and when anything goes wrong. I'm taking a bit of a risk by modifying and voiding the warranty on my brand new $50k car, so I'd like the vendor to stand behind me if something goes drastically wrong. What are the chances that AA or Vishnu will be there if that time comes? |

Supersprint you can buy in different sections but if you buy the full catback setup then it's a direct bolt on. If you just buy the rear mufflers then it requires cutting. |

Supersprint doesn't sell an entire kit. You have to buy the pieces to make it a kit. In order to make it a full bolt Supersprint exhaust setup you will have to buy 2 mufflers, X pipe, and connecting pipes. Each part has their own part number. Now if you just buy Supersprint mufflers and X pipe then it's not a direct bolt unless you buy the connecting pipes. |

to rephrase my question is this. if i get the aa exhaust setup minus the mufflers and add the ss connecting pipe or metallic cat, can i stick on the 100mm mufflers no problem without cutting, etc? would that fit like oem? |
