Some pics of my buddies laguna seca blue e46 M3!!

My buddy picked up this 2001 laguna seca blue M3 a few months back after looking for one for a while. After finally being patient he found this nice clean M3 with 52,XXX miles on it. Some nice mods. Then about a month after he had it, some loser came by and threw acid all over the car. It melted the paint off. Needless to say, heres some pics. Cars still in the shop.

Its amazing how terrible people can be. Needless to say, the whole car needs to be painted. But Im sure it will be like new when its done.

The guy that did it put acid on 2 other peoples cars that night also. One happened to be at the same house as the LSB M3 and the other was the 2nd cars owners girlfriend. LOL

Insurance doesnt want to pay the full amount to cover the damages. The auto body shop quoted I believe somewhere around $12,000 and insurance wants to pay $6000.

$12k for a paint job?!?!? even an amazing bodyshop wouldnt charge 12k for repaint of a whole car. WTF else got damaged? Were body panels needing to be replaced from the acid? damn that sucks ass.

p.s.- those black wheels are janky looking.

So if you know who did it, was he reported the police and shouldn't he pay for the damages if insurance won't cover it?

I hope some of that acid splashed on his skin whilst he was pouring it on the cars.

Not so sure. Hes a bit on the wacky side and has issues. Hes now in jail for beating his father and uncle up. I think that explains it. Hes a wacko.

A police report was made. But the kid didnt get in trouble for it. Hes now in jail for beating his father and uncle up. Hes got more issues then sports illustrated. And over 30 years old. Its all childish.

I believe the windshield and glass is ruined. The acid got in the cracks of the hood and other places and ruined the paint. Its a pretty messed up car. And you dont like the wheels? He just got them on a day before this happened. I think they are Iforged Essens and he had them powder coated flat black. I personally dont like them entirely black, but I think they look good.
