stuck on 4000 rpm

Today ran a srt8 I smoked him 1st time badly, 2nd time I down shifted pretty late so when I floored it it was about 5600 rpm, when it switched gear it went up to 4000 rpm and stuck there for couple of seconds until it went into a limp mode , could that be my transmission is going bad or stuck throttle ?

you should read the codes and do some logs and see if you can replicate.

lots of people will give you an unsolicited opinion, but few have enough technical depth to address a drivability issue --

i would heed the suggestions of some of the members like enrita -- as he has worked through problems very few see, or even want to experience.

the lack of response may prove to be beneificial rather than negative --

cheers

Need more information. The actual codes would narrow it down a lot.

To me, it sounds like like you hit the kickdown switch and it shifted into a lower gear, the RPM's then jumped back up and you got the misfires. Sound close?
